If you are buying both a plywood base and a laminate face, mention both. Matching the two in one order keeps the supply simpler and lets us quote the whole carcass-and-surface package.
Choosing the finish
Most buyers narrow the choice by finish first: matte, gloss or wood grain. Then they pick a colour and compare two or three alternatives against the room lighting.
