A designer carries the client's expectations and the risk of a wrong material. The supplier's job is to answer quickly, give a straight view on what suits where, and not surprise anyone at delivery.
Where we can help
- Matching grade to room: which plywood for a kitchen, a wardrobe, a bathroom vanity. See plywood types.
- Finish selection: laminates and veneers, with the practical differences. See laminates and veneers.
- Quantities: a quick estimate from the calculator before you finalise the quote to the client.
- One list, one quote: plywood, laminate, timber and channels together.
Sending a list that gets a good quote
Tell us the material for each line, the grade or finish code, thickness, quantity and site location. If the client has approved a specific brand, name it. If you want options, say so, and we will offer two or three at different price points.
Specifying with care
Specify the grade, not just "plywood". An "18 mm plywood" line can be priced very differently depending on what is delivered, and the gap becomes the designer's problem when the client sees the bill. Putting grade and brand into the BOQ protects you.
